In this guide I will show you how to upgrade the Firmware on the Compute Modules

This is a follow on from HPE Synergy Firmware Update – Shared Infrastructure so It is assumed the firmware bundle has been uploaded

1. In Oneview go to Servers -> Server Profile Template -> {Select template} -> Actions -> Under Firmware baseline drop-down select new firmware -> Ensure Firmware only is ticked -> OK

This will ensure any new compute modules will boot with the newest firmware.

2. Power down compute module

3. In Oneview -> Servers -> {Select server profile} -> Actions -> Firmware -> Under Firmware baseline drop-down select new firmware -> Ensure Firmware only is ticked -> OK

4. This will start the update process.

5. Once complete power on compute module
