Components: ESXi 5.1 , Veeam 6.5

Scenario: I upgraded all of my hosts from Esxi 5.0 to 5.1. Veeam 6.5 had been installed (upgraded from 6.1) last week and had been backing up successfully. When the job ran again as normal after ESXi 5.1 had been installed I got an error on all my VMs

From the Veeam Backup Console

08/11/2012 18:08:19 :: Error: Host with uuid ‘xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx’ was not found

 

 

 

From the Veeam Backup Logs:

“<01> Error Failed to validate license for the VM”

 

To fix this error you will need to revoke the licenses via Veeam.

Help -> License -> Licensed Hosts-> select hosts -> Revoke.

 

They should then be added automatically again when the job starts.
