vSphere HA – Cannot find a network adapter for the vCenter Server management (NIC0) on the vCenter Server Appliance

Problem

While trying to deploy vCenter HA the following error occurred:

Cannot find a network adapter for the vCenter Server management (NIC0) on the vCenter Server Appliance guest OS. Once available, the first guest OS network adapter will be selected. Used Edit VM Settings to add a network adapter

Caveat

VCHA was previously installed then unconfigured

 

Resolution

Despite lots of troubleshooting the following fixed the issue:

  

# service-control --stop --all
# service-control --start --all
