Scenario: I needed to add another Equallogic to our existing group but couldn’t remember the group membership password (or  to be more accurate , the password I had stored didn’t work!)

This is extremely easy and has no affect on the running/settings of the current group.

Firstly telnet or SSH to your device (make sure it is the group manager IP address)

# telnet 192.168.1.1 

Then issue the following commands

# grpparams
# passwd
# <enter new password>

Now you can add your (hopefully) new and shiny Equallogic to your existing group.
